He was invested as a Knight on 3 October 1629.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Galway from June 1634 to 1635.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Galway Borough between February 20, 1639 and 1642. He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Blake, of Galway [I., 1622] circa 1640.1 He held the office of Mayor of Galway in 1643.
